Hundreds of homes in Derby were left without electricity after a power cut this morning, according to Western Power Distribution
The company said at least 915 properties were affected by the incident - including homes in Oakwood - and engineers spent an hour working to fix the problem. A spokesman for Western Power Distribution said they had aimed to have all supplies restored by 10am but this was done by 9.25am.
The cause of the power cut is not yet known but the homes affected were in the DE21 4, DE21 2 and DE21 7 areas.
Speaking at 9am, the spokesman said engineers would work to fix the power cut before determining the cause of the incident.
He said: "We have got engineers on site who are investigating and we hope to get everyone back online within an hour. It was first reported at 8.22am."
