Member of public helps police arrest 23-year-old after a woman was robbed in Beeston

A 23-year-old man has been arrested in Beeston High Street after a series of robberies and suspicious incidents on women in Chilwell and Beeston.

He was detained this afternoon (Monday, September 11) at around 4.35pm by a member of the public on the busy street.

Officers then arrived and made the arrest.

The arrest is in connection with four incidents.

The first is an attempted robbery of a woman in Hall Drive, Chilwell.

The second was a robbery of a woman in Caldbeck Court, Chilwell, on Saturday (September 9).

The third and fourth were two reports of women being followed in Blenheim Drive and Aldene Court, Chilwell, yesterday (Sunday, September 10).
