Two men have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries.

An appeal had been made by Nottinghamshire Police on Saturday (September 9) over a Mercedes car which was believed to have been used in four burglaries in Owthorpe, Stapleford, Radcliffe-on-Trent and Cropwell Bishop.

The black car, with blacked-out windows, was found burnt out in Leicester that night.

Now officers say they have made two arrests.

A spokesman said: "The 40 and 26 year-old men were taken into custody on Sunday, September 10.

"The pair are also being questioned in connection to burglaries in Derbyshire and Leicestershire."
