This policeman would do anything for love - or to keep his colleagues entertained.

When a couple of officers were left stranded in Alfreton after their car broke down, one of them - known only as PC Collins - burst into a song.

A video showing him belt out Meat Loaf's classic song 'I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)' has been posted to the Alfreton Town SNT Twitter account.

PC Collins' passionate performance has gone down a storm, with officers from Nottinghamshire Police's rural team giving him "four yeses" - a nod to ITV's X Factor.

Although one user did question where his "off switch" was, to which the Alfreton Town SNT account replied "we haven't found it yet".

Fortunately for the officers, they were only left waiting for half an hour but it "felt like a life time".
