Lincolnshire-based, family-run business eBadges is celebrating a decade’s worth of success and growth as the UK’s leading badge maker manufacturers and suppliers.
After starting the business 10 years ago, owners Andrew and Philippa Vear purchased existing badge making business, Enterprise Products, and set up their operation in Barnack.
Following the rebrand of Enterprise Products to eBadges earlier this year, the business is increasingly going from strength to strength. Since opening its doors, eBadges has experienced a steady growth of 182% since 2007.
Despite such impressive growth, the company has always endeavoured to keep the business within its community. EBadges currently provides regular work for up to 14 locals, in addition to providing work for local foundries and other small manufacturing businesses.
The emphasis on local community also extends to charity. As a business eBadges give back by working with Thorpe Hall Hospice (Sue Ryder); Malcolm Sargent School; Stamford Kiwanis. Recently, eBadges has also been helping to raise funds for the national charities Cancer Research UK and CoppaFeel.
Continuing with their growing success story, Andrew and Philippa made the bold decision in 2015 to bring back the manufacturing of the badge machines from India to the UK. They now manufacture their quality badge machines, using the expertise of local manufacturers all within just 40 miles of Stamford.
Commenting on their 10-year success, Andrew Vear, Owner of eBadges says:
“As a business, we are incredibly proud of all we’ve accomplished to date. Initially, our main business goal was to become the number one manufacturer of badge makers within the UK. This has been achieved and we are now aiming to become the number one manufacturer in Europe.
“I’d like to thank all the staff here at eBadges, and our valued customers who have supported us throughout the years.”
Owner Philippa Vear also adds:
“We’re especially proud to now be able to offer an upgraded, UK-made product with a minimal ecological footprint. This was absolutely the right decision for us and the business.”
