21-year-old taken to hospital with 'serious leg injuries' following moped crash in Hucknall

A 21-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Hucknall.

The collision occurred in Annesley Road near to Ogle Street and Baker Street at around 5.40pm on Tuesday evening (October 17).

It has been confirmed by police that the crash involved a car and a moped.

One man was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.

The road was closed off by police while forensic investigations were carried out. It was reopened at 11pm last night.

Nottinghamshire Police have appealed for anyone with dashcam footage or who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.

A spokesowman said: "Officers attended at around 5.45pm and the road was closed for around five hours. A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.

"An investigation is on-going to establish the circumstances, no arrests have been made. If anyone has any dashcam footage or has any more information regarding the incident, please call us on 101, quoting incident number 661 of 17 October 2017."
