Police are trying to trace a Good Samaritan who helped prevent a Deliveroo cyclist from being robbed in Derby.
The attempted robbery took place near a Premier Stores shop in Stockbrook Street at 8pm on Wednesday, September 27.
A driver of a silver Vauxhall Corsa saw the incident unfold and came to the aid of the rider, thwarting the would-be thieves.
However, despite the first incident being stopped, the victim was robbed a short time later at the junction of Dean Street and Westbury Street.
Derbyshire police are appealing for the driver or a passenger of the Vauxhall Corsa to get in touch.
A spokesman said: “Were you the driver or passenger in a silver Corsa, driving in that area at that time?
“Did you stop and intervene when the cyclist was first approached?
“If so, we want to speak to you. Please call PC Nikita Devney on 101, quoting reference 17000 416012.”
