A cold and crisp start, with brisk northwesterly winds. Scattered snow showers are expected, especially across western parts. Frequent sunny spells are also expected between any showers. Maximum temperature 3 °C.
Isolated snow showers will continue, especially in the west, but otherwise dry with clear spells. Brisk winds easing. Very cold, with widespread frost expected, and a risk of icy patches. Minimum temperature -3 °C.
Further snow showers are likely in the far west, but otherwise it should be a fine, and largely sunny day. Winds continue to ease, however it will remain very cold. Maximum temperature 3 °C.
Frosty Sunday, then persistent snow, with significant accumulations. Perhaps rain in far east.
