Police warn residents to consider their home security after spate of West Bridgford burglaries

Police have urged residents to be vigilant and review their security after a spate of burglaries in West Bridgford.

More than one house burglary has been carried out in a number of roads in the area during the last three months, including Abbey Road, Abbey Circus, Edwards Road, Loughborough Road, Nearby Drive and Rutland Road.

Rushcliffe Area Inspector Craig Berry said: "Residents that live on these and surrounding roads should consider their home security carefully in particular patio doors and the like at the rear of their property as this is the most common point of entry.

"Local people should also be vigilant and report any suspicious people or cars taking note of as much detail as possible and reporting your concerns immediately to the police.

"Anyone who witnesses anything suspicious, or has any information about burglaries, should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
