Drivers are being warned to expect delays after a number of crashes on the M1.
Highways England warned of at least three crashes on Wednesday (December 27).
The first crash - on a southbound stretch of road between junctions 20 and 19 - was reported at around 4.44am.
Two out of three lanes were initially closed while crews worked to clear a "significant fuel spillage".
At 9am, one lane remained closed. But all lanes had been reopened by 10am.
Highways England tweeted again at 9.30am to say that one lane is closed northbound between junctions 16 and 17.
The lane has been closed after a multi-vehicle crash.
It is not known how many vehicles are involved or how serious the crash is.
Highways England is reporting that a second crash happened close to the scene of the multi-vehicle collision.
