Ban for drink-driver caught over the limit in Assembly Rooms Car Park

A 54-year-old motorist has been banned from the roads for 17 months after being caught drink-driving in the car park of the Assembly Rooms.

Sandra Vince, of Wilmot Street, Ilkeston, was also fined £120 and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge after being caught on September 10, 2017.

The following people have also been recently been convicted of the following offences at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court:

Thomas Morgan, 23, of Stanton Road, Sandiacre, was jailed for 18 weeks, suspended for a year, and was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £115 victim surcharge and £21.10 compensation for one count of theft and one of attempted theft, both in Ilkeston, on October 12.

Darren Clark, 32, of Vernon Street, Ilkeston, was jailed for six weeks and was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge for stealing three packs of steak from Asda filling station in Nottingham Road, Ilkeston, on September 22.

Sean Keenan, 24, of Westminster Street, Derby, was fined £660, was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £66 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for 18 months due to repeat offending for driving without insurance on the A6096 in Ilkeston on October 31, 2016.

Gary Mollison, 28, of Uttoxeter New Road, Derby, was fined £660, was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £66 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for six months due to repeat offending for driving without insurance or a licence or MOT certificate in Uttoxeter New Road, on December 15, 2016.

Simon Smith, 34, of Hillcrest Road, Chaddesden, was jailed for six weeks and was ordered to pay £130 compensation for three counts of shoplifting in Derby between September 14 and October 15.

Darius Vitkus, 28, of Princess Street, Derby, was jailed for 18 weeks, and was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for 62 months for drink driving in Full Street, Derby, on October 14.

James Casement, 33, of Fitzwilliam Place, Derby, was fined £293, and was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £30 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with four penalty points for speeding at 43mph in a 30mph limit in Belper Road, Stanley Common, on March 24.

Claudine Donaldson, 29, of Malham Road, Littleover, was fined £120 and was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £30 victim surcharge and had her licence endorsed with eight penalty points for driving without insurance in Burton Road, Derby, on May 17.

Scott Muir, 20, of Cockayne Street South, Allenton, was fined £180 and was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £30 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for six months for driving without insurance or a valid licence in London Road, Derby, on January 25.

Shane Keyland, 25, of Station Road, Derby, was handed a two-year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £150 costs and a £20 victim surcharge for taking a moped without the owner’s consent in Derby on July 22.

Mohammed Younis, 45, of St Thomas Road, Normanton, was jailed for 18 weeks and was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for five years for driving while disqualified, without due care and attention, without insurance and failing to stop for police in Princes Street, Normanton, on October 14.

Christopher Greatorex, 33, of Derwent Avenue, West Hallam, was jailed for 23 weeks, suspended for a year, and was handed a two-year restraining order and was ordered to pay £250 costs and a £115 victim surcharge for harassment in Derby between February 21 and March 4.

Johnathan Wetton, 32, of Ingleby Avenue, Derby, was fined £200 and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge for entering Derby Midland Railway Station while unfit through intoxication on September 15.

Natalie Hudspeth, 37, of Field Drive, Smalley, was handed a two-year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £1,300 compensation, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge for stealing a juke box machine from Sound Leisure Ltd in Derby between February 11 and July 9.

Ruth Burgin, 63, of Dix Avenue, Smalley, was fined £120 and was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £30 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for a year for drink driving in Belper Road, Stanley Common, on September 11.

Mucheta Mulongoti, 26, of Saffron Drive, Oakwood, was fined £235 and was ordered to pay £85 costs, a £30 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for drink driving in Raynesway, Alvaston, on September 10.

Shaun Rafferty, 46, of Mayvale Grove, Derby, was fined £200 and was ordered to pay £57 compensation, £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge for two counts of stealing pressure washers from B&Q in Peak Drive, Derby, on May 2 and 11.

Kevin Deakin, 32, of John F Kennedy Gardens, Chaddesden, was handed a 12-month community order, with 80 hours unpaid work, and was ordered to pay £85 costs, an £85 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for two years for drink driving in Traffic Street, Derby, on September 12.

Jason Ison, 46, of Lynden Avenue, Long Eaton, was jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for a year, and was handed a restraining order and was ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £115 victim surcharge for harassment in Derby between May 23 and September 5.

Liam Mannion, 25, of Alder Walk, Derby, was handed a 12-month community order, with 150 hours unpaid work, and was ordered to pay £85 costs, an £85 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for three years for drink driving and failing to stop following an accident in Croft Lane, Breadsall, on September 9.

John Thornhill, 34, of Hawtrey Gardens, Alvaston, was handed a 12-month community order, with 200 hours unpaid work, a restraining order and was ordered to pay £100 compensation for assault in Alvaston on April 12.

Marsha Neilson, 39, of Stockbrook Court, Derby, was handed a two-year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge for possessing crack cocaine and cannabis in Derby on April 30.

Amarpreet Padda, 36, of Windermere Drove, Hilton, was jailed for 14 weeks, suspended for a year and was ordered to pay £150 compensation, £85 costs and a £115 victim surcharge for three counts of assault in Green Lane, Derby, on October 9.
