It will be a Valentine’s to remember for one lucky couple when florist and The Apprentice contestant Elizabeth McKenna delivers a special bunch of flowers tomorrow.

A total of 272 people have entered a competition for a dozen red roses to be delivered to one lucky reader on February 14.

The Post teamed up with former Apprentice star, Elizabeth McKenna, who owns flower shop, Flowers by Susan in West Bridgford, to run the competition.

Readers had to explain why their partner deserves a dozen red rose from Miss McKenna, who was in last year's series of the Apprentice and was fired just before the finals.

A short list is being sent over to the Nottingham florist today and she will decide which lucky reader gets the special bunch of flowers.

She told the Post: "I am absolutely thrilled that the whole of Nottingham is loved up. I am thrilled to able to give a bundle of flowers to whoever it is that wins.

"It is incredibly busy, we are stacked up and the phone has not stopped ringing. People out there are showing their love and the competition is about making someone’s day extra special."
