A Nottinghamshire secondary school is closed to most of its pupils today (February 13) following a gas leak.

Ashfield School, in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, is closed to all pupils in Year 7 through to Year 11, but the Post 16 centre will remain open.

The school warned of the closure on its website.

A notice posted on its website on Monday (February 12) said: "Due to a gas leak on site, we will be closed to all lower school pupils in Year 7 through to Year 11 tomorrow (February 13).

"Post 16 will be open as usual. Keep checking the website for updates."
