A National Express driver has been suspended after video footage showed a dispute with a passenger.

The footage, sent to the Post by a reader, appears to show the driver trying to remove the passenger before passersby intervene.

Nottingham photographer Saul Morgan, 37, of Carlton, said it was "shocking to watch".

The woman was then allowed to stay on the 310 bus from Nottingham to Poole.

National Express said they have apologised to her.

The incident happened in Station Street at around 9.45am. It is not believed to have been reported to the police.

Mr Morgan told the Post: " I thought 'I am filming this.' It was unbelievable – it was shocking to watch."

He added: "She must be beside herself. People went over because it was getting out of hand."

A National Express spokesman said: "We apologise for the actions of our driver, which clearly fell far below the professional standards expected of all our staff.

"The driver involved has been removed from service and suspended pending an urgent investigation. We have spoken to and apologised to the customer involved."
