Phillip Cocu is hoping striker Chris Martin will still be a Derby County player next season.
Martin has signed a temporary extension to his contract making him available for the remainder of this season.
But the 31-year-old is still in talks with the club about his future beyond this season.
"It is hard to say, at the moment," Cocu said when asked how confident he is that Derby can secure Martin on a longer deal.
