Coronavirus has changed the way we live our lives - but how much has it changed our relationships?

After three months in constant contact with your partner - or in enforced separation - you may be looking at each other in a different light, and not just because of your DIY lockdown haircut.

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan, agony aunt for the Daily Mirror, has launched a major lockdown survey to find out the strains and the strengths in relationships that have come through in this unprecedented time.

Coleen said: “There’s no doubt it’s a challenging time for lovers, whether you’re in lockdown together or isolating apart.

“I’ve had letters from people determined to leave their partners when the lockdown is over, while others want to know how to repair the bits of their relationship that aren’t working.

“Lots of people living apart from their partner are struggling with loneliness and missing sexual intimacy, while others want advice on ending their relationship.. in the nicest possible way!”

The recent changes to lockdown restrictions have meant some people isolating apart have started being able to reconnect, while others must still wait.

But there can be challenges for those isolating with their partners too.

Coleen, who has also launched a weekly sex and relationships newsletter , said: “Sex has been a big talking point for readers. What if you’re in lockdown with your partner, but your love life is in a rut or your sex drives are incompatible? You can hardly make the excuse that you’re working late at the office!

“On the upside, being in lockdown together has given some couples’ sex lives an unexpected boost and they want to know how to keep the passion going when life returns to normal.”

The survey is open until 9am on Monday 29 June. We will share the results with you when they are in.
