PR and digital agency Cartwright Communications has appointed a new head of the built environment.
Annie Brafield will take on the role of head of property and construction at the agency.
She said: “The property and construction industry has probably never been as important in the UK as it is at the moment as we look to come out of the other side of the Covid-19 pandemic and rebuild our economy, so it’s a really exciting and interesting time for me to be taking on this new role.
“I have grown up surrounded by the property industry – and then married a development agent too, so it’s an area I am really passionate about and I am so pleased to have been given the opportunity at Cartwright to help support and grow what is one of our key sectors as a business.
“I’m really looking forward to working closely alongside MD Liz Cartwright in helping to shape our strategy for this sector as well as providing strategic support for the team to ensure we are delivering the very best results for our clients.”
Brafield has worked at Cartwright Communications since 2013 when she joined the agency as an account manager, and has worked her way up through the business – something Liz Cartwright believes is a key part of the agency’s success.
Cartwright said: “At Cartwright, we really value growing our own and investing in our team to allow our people to progress through the business and ultimately take on these senior roles.
“Annie has recently returned from maternity leave and was keen to take on a new challenge within the business, so we have created this new role to allow her to do just that. Property and construction is a really key sector for us and this role will play an important part in continuing to develop that expertise.”
Cartwright Communications has also recently promoted Anastasia Smith and Nancy Collins-Burgess into senior account executive roles.
