First professional contracts for Derby County midfielder and right back

Two Derby County youngsters have signed their first professional contracts.

Liam Thompson and Kornell McDonald, who are both 18, have put pen to paper, according to Tornado Sports Management.

Thompson is a midfielder who appeared for the under-18s and the under-23s in the season just gone, and he also made four starts for the under-19 side in the UEFA Youth League.

McDonald is a right back who also played in the under-18 and under-23s teams, as well as the under-19s during their European campaign in which they played FC Minsk, IA Akranes, Borussia Dortmund and RB Salzburg.
