A man is due to appear in court today following an alleged stabbing in Nottingham city centre.
Police rushed to Beastmarket Hill at around 1.30am on Sunday, August 9 after a man had suffered serious injuries in an altercation.
Today, Colin Hartley, 22, is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court in connection with the early hours incident.
Hartley, of Bridlington Street, Hyson Green, is charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon after a man was reported to have been stabbed in the abdomen.
Detective Sergeant Lee Cattell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Nottinghamshire Police takes knife crime very seriously and will investigate all reports thoroughly."
