A county school has been closed to a year group after a confirmed coronavirus case.
Parents with children in Year 3 at Blaby Stokes Primary School have been told their kids will now need to self-isolate for 14 days.
The letter says that the parents of children who may have been in close contact with the pupil who has tested positive have been sent a separate letter with specific instructions.
Staff members who were in contact with the child have also been told to self-isolate.
The letter reads: “The school remains open for the majority of children and providing your child remains well they should continue to attend school as normal.
“We are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England.”
A text sent to all parents states: “Year 3 bubble CLOSED - Y3 children need to self-isolate for 14 days. Please see email from school.
“Siblings in other years can come in as usual tomorrow. Thank you.”
The school, in Queen’s Road, Blaby, was closed to all pupils today after a burst pipe left it without water.
Elsewhere, confirmed cases at schools across both the city and county have led to classes and year groups being sent home and told to self-isolate for 14 days in line with Government guidance.
