If you've ever fancied the idea of helping out as a volunteer at a historic Leicestershire visitor attraction then a new opportunity has arisen.

The charity that looks after Foxton Locks, on the Grand Union Canal near Market Harborough, is looking to put together a team of volunteers to help keep things running smoothly at the famous canal landmark.

Opportunities including the iconic role of lock keeper are among those being offered by The Canal & River Trust - the charity that runs the attraction, which welcomes 320,000 visitors every year.

The trust wants to hear from people interested in helping boats through the well-known flight of locks - and others to lend a hand
