A Derby pub has been criticised after images emerged showing patrons flouting social distancing rules.

Images showing throngs of people inside the Crown Inn pub, in Curzon Street, have raised fears about potential transmission of coronavirus.

The photos showed people engaging in "dangerous" behaviour, according to one witness.

The man who took the photos, who asked to remain anonymous, said he saw different groups of people dancing with each other in the crowded pub with no regard for social distancing rules.

"The pub looks quite small from the front but it's actually rather large," he said
