The coronavirus testing centre system in Leicester has been described as ‘a joke’ by one man trying to book a test for his son.
A mum trying to book her daughter in has also criticised the Government-run service after a test centre employee turned them away saying she ‘probably had a cold’.
A man, who has since discovered he has coronavirus, was also turned away after returning for a retest when the first swab proved inconclusive.
The stories are the latest complaints about the test and trace system the Government has previously described as ‘world-beating’.
