Five women were taken to hospital after a two-car crash on a country road.
The collision happened at the junction of Joe Moore’s Lane and Priory Lane near to Bradgate Park shortly after 4.30pm this afternoon.
One of the women was trapped inside a car and had to be cut free by firefighters at the scene.
All five were taken to hospital for treatment and the extent of their injuries has not been publicised yet.
The ambulance service attended along with Leicestershire Police and a fire crew from Loughborough Fire and Rescue Station.
The collision happened at the same junction where a cyclist was injured after being pushed off his bike by a moped passenger
