A 1,500-space multi-storey car park proposed behind the Queen's Medical Centre will meet existing demand, plans have revealed.
If given the green light, it would provide access for patients, visitors and staff at the hospital.
"The proposed development consists of five storeys of parking and circa 1,500 parking spaces including provision for disabled bays, active and passive electric vehicle charging bays," plans, submitted to the city council, read.
The multi-storey facility is proposed for land off Leen Gate, next to the River Leen, Lenton, on the opposite side of the road to the Monty Hind Boys' Club.
A full planning application has now been tabled after an earlier document earmarked the plot
