A Nottingham dad said he had to book a coronavirus test in Edinburgh to ensure his daughter could return to school.
After trying “50 times” to book a test and spending hours on hold to 119, social worker Mahmoon Rasheed, 34, managed to secure a slot for a test in Scotland.
It comes as families across the county are struggling to book tests or access coronavirus home kits.
A spokesperson at Public Health England said it is seeing “significant demand” for tests.
Mahmoon’s daughter Husnah, eight, had developed mild coronavirus symptoms on Wednesday, September 9 and her school Bluecoat Primary School had advised her and her siblings to isolate as a result.
