Pair of Broadway Cinema seats designed by Sir Paul Smith go up for grabs at Nottingham auction

This weekend, two sets of original Nottingham Broadway cinema loveseats, designed by renowned fashion designer Paul Smith, will go under the hammer.

Fans of the Beeston born designer who want to grab a piece of 'cinema history' for themselves will be able to bid for the seats in Saturday's auction.

Keith Butler, marketing manager, for auctioneers Arthur Johnson & Sons, said: "It is an unusual item to find yourself auctioning but we are delighted to be offering movie buffs a chance to own a piece of cinema history... and a personal work of Sir Paul Smith, a Nottingham son."

Design fans will instantly recognise the trade mark Paul Smith stripe used on the 2006 cinema
