Pupils have been told to self-isolate for 14 days after a confirmed case of coronavirus at a Leicestershire college.

Sadie Batstone, principal at Brockington College in Enderby, wrote to parents after an ‘individual’ tested positive on Monday (September 14).

She said: “Your child is not affected, as they have not been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive.

“We have contacted the parents of those children who may have been in close contact in a separate letter. Those children are being asked to self-isolate for 14 days along with staff members who were also in close contact.

“The school remains open for the majority of children and providing your child remains well,
