A new fleet of Covid-secure eco-friendly buses have been launched to "improve the air we breathe".

The news comes as part of Trent Barton's £2.6 million investment into eco-friendly travel, with the new 'Enviro200' buses emitting less nitrogen than new cars.

The 16 new vehicles are ultra-low emission and will serve the rainbow one line between Nottingham, Kimberley, Eastwood, Heanor and Alfreton.

Nottinghamshire Live reports that the buses boast glazed skylights, LED lighting beneath seats, "superfast" WiFi and "power bars" to charge appliances.
