Three more county schools have confirmed cases of coronavirus as Leicestershire moves into a third full week of the Autumn term.

It comes after education officials at Leicestershire County Council last week confirmed there had been 26 Covid-19 cases at 25 county schools since classes resumed after the summer holiday at the end of August.

In Leicester, there have been virus cases identified in at least 19 schools, with some 900 pupils in bubbles in contact with the ill staff and pupils having to self-isolate for a fortnight.

Parents of pupils in Year 8 - aged 12 to 13 - at The Kibworth School, near Market Harborough , have been told to keep their children
