A Nottingham university has revealed it is developing a testing service to identify those who have coronavirus but are not showing symptoms to stop them spreading the virus further.
The University of Nottingham is aiming to provide its workforce, students and the wider community with extra testing capacity beyond the national system.
The institution is hoping the new 'Asymptomatic Testing Service' will help tackle transmission among students and staff and will involve individuals volunteering themselves for testing, with any positive cases confirmed through a government test linked to its 'Test and Trace' system.
