Funding of just under £1 million has been approved by Nottingham City Council to replace external tiles on the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall (TRRCH), which it owns.

Despite extremely challenging financial circumstances for the council, it has approved the funding as it said the current situation was requiring frequent, costly repair.

This week, it has approved £990,000 for the project.

It expects work to start this month, and be finished by Spring next year.
