Latest figures show coronavirus cases still rising in Derbyshire

Thirty-seven new coronavirus tests have been confirmed in Derbyshire overnight, making its new total 4,015 according to Government figures.

Eleven further cases were recorded in Derby, making a total of 1,523 positive tests since the start of the pandemic.

The data also shows the country-wide total number of cases has increased by 3,991 in the last 24 hours, rising to 378,219.

There were 20 UK recorded deaths from people who have tested positive for Covid-19 within the last 28 days.

The UK-wide death toll now stands at 41,684.

In Staffordshire, there have now been a total of 4,570 confirmed cases a rise of 38 new cases.
