A violent man who bit a policeman's arm and kicked a policewoman as they tried to arrest him during a domestic incident has been spared jail.
The judge said the consequences of custody for Corey Bayley's partner and her son - if he was locked up - included losing their home, as he was the family breadwinner and the "glue" that held the family together.
Recorder Balraj Bhatia QC said the defendant's partner depended on Bayley as her "rock" and her fragile mental health would suffer if he was not around to care for her.
Bayley pleaded guilty to an assault by beating and a common assault on the emergency workers, on Monday June 1.
