More than 100 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed across the city and county for the second day running.
Some 105 cases were added to Leicester and Leicestershire’s combined total when government figures updated this afternoon.
Leicester had the highest number of new cases, with 57 added to the cumulative total.
Broken down to district and county areas, it was Blaby where the biggest increase was recorded with 18 new cases identified.
Charnwood added 13 cases to its overall toll and Oabdy and Wigston, an area where a local lockdown is feared, added 10.
There were five new cases in Harborough and two in Hinckley and Bosworth.
