There have been no coronavirus-related deaths at Leicester’s hospitals this month, according to NHS England figures.
University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust has moved to providing weekly updates on the number of Covid-related fatalities and has today said there are no nationally announced deaths to report.
The trust did report three deaths last week, but figures can sometimes take time to filter through to national numbers which could explain why they were added to tolls last week.
An NHS England spreadsheet that details the date of death shows that the last fatality in one of Leicester’s hospitals was on August 31.
