A 'traditional ale house' promising to become a 'social place the village and local residents can enjoy' could open within an empty hairdressing salon near Beeston.

Details of the proposed new micro-pub reveal it is expected to sell real ale and cider made by independent producers.

"I will also offer a small selection of craft ale style drinks from a fridge sold in small cans or bottles and a small selection of wines on request only.

"Tea, coffee and other soft drinks will be available at all times," plans, submitted by Christopher Parkin, read.

The facility is proposed for an empty unit in Attenborough Lane.
