People in Oadby and Wigston are being urged to restrict their movements to avoid an enforced new lockdown.
Cases are rapidly rising across the borough, which is now the second biggest coronavirus hotspot after Bolton.
John Boyce, leader of Oadby and Wigston Borough Council, wants all residents to act as if they under the Leicester lockdown again.
He urged people to:
Stay out of each other’s homes and gardens Avoid meeting people from other households in pubs, restaurants or elsewhere indoors Avoid meeting more than five other people outdoors and to keep two metres apart Avoid sharing cars
About 13,000 households will be receiving leaflets over the coming days about the outbreak and from today
