A seaside attraction popular with millions of holidaymakers from in and around the East Midlands has gone on the market for the first time in more than four decades.
Skegness Pier is up for sale with commercial real estate agents Christie & Co.
The structure, which first opened in 1881, has been in the same family ownership since 1976 when it was bought by Robin Mitchell.
It is now up for sale due to the retirement of the current owner, his daughter Carolyn Wilkinson.
It is understood to have a guide price of around £3 million.
The pier was officially opened on June 4, 1881, by the then Duke of Edinburgh, following a nationwide design
