A Derby secondary school is to reopen today after it was closed following a confirmed case of coronavirus within the premises.

Landau Forte College was closed for the whole day on Wednesday following advice from Public Health England after it emerged an individual tested positive for the disease.

Principal Alison Brannick said the school would be closed so it could undergo a deep clean.

It has now been announced the school will reopen as normal today.

In a letter posted on the school's website, the principal said: "Following my letter yesterday making you aware of a confirmed Covid case at school, and informing you of our decision to close the school as
