Swimmer Adam Peaty has promised to always be there for his son in a heart-felt tweet welcoming him into the world.
His girlfriend Eiri Munro gave birth to George-Anderson Adetola Peaty at Leicester General Hospital on Friday, September 11.
In a tweet the Olympic champion, DerbyshireLive reported that he said: "I'll be here anytime you need me son. You motivate me to become a better person in every single way."
Peaty, 25, who won gold in the 100m breaststroke at the 2016 games, had earlier tweeted about his pride for artist Eiri after she delivered George-Anderson.
He tweeted: "George-Anderson Adetola Peaty. 11/9/2020. 9lb 1oz. I’m so proud of you @EirianeddMunro and I love you both
