Catching a bus into Nottingham is not something I have done since March.

But with the introduction of face masks, for those who don't have medical problems, and seeing most buses that have passed me by are hardy full, I decided to hop on one into town.

Signs at the bus stop remind you about keeping your distance as you board and then I used my Nottingham City buses App for my ticket, so there's no need to handle cash.

On board everyone is sat a safe distance away from each other, all wearing masks, but gone is the usual hum of passengers chatting on their phones or making general small talk, it's strangely quiet.
