Drunk householder kicked out at police officer

A partying householder ended up in court for assault after he kicked out at a police officer.

Officers responded to a call-out at 3.45am on June 23 to Paxton Gardens, St Ann's, where a party had carried on.

Nottingham Magistrates' Court heard when officers arrived, 34-year-old Darren Payne, who lived there, was drunk and unsteady on his feet and he had injured one of his toes. He was told to leave.

Payne pulled on his tracksuit bottoms and socks and attempted to push past one of the officers and was arrested.

He was escorted out into the front garden where he tensed his arms and was told to stop resisting.

The officer could not gain
