Hinckley council carries out coronavirus checks to make sure businesses are operating safely

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council is working with the health and safety executive to contact businesses in the area to make sure they are Covid-19 secure, in efforts to prevent the spread of the virus.

Businesses will be given advice and guidance on how to manage risk and protect staff, customers and visitors.

If businesses are not fulfilling their legal requirements, the council can take enforcement action, which can range from giving advice, to issuing notices, stopping certain work practices or even prosecution if firms fail to comply.
