More schools in Nottinghamshire send pupils home over coronavirus cases

Two more Nottinghamshire schools have confirmed they have cases of coronavirus as the rate soars in the county.

Park Vale Academy in Top Valley and Chilwell school have both had confirmed cases.

In a letter to parents, head teacher Mr Bowhay from Park Vale Academy said a student has tested positive for the virus.

He said: "We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England.

"This letter is to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child. Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus will be a mild illness.
