A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being injured in a collision with a vehicle this evening (October 9).

Emergency services were called to the scene, on on Beveridge Lane, Bardon Hill, near Coalville, just before 6.40pm.

They have been taken to hospital by the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Police have closed off Beveridge Lane between Ellistown and Bardon Hill following the incident.

A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called at 6.40pm today (Friday) to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Beveridge Lane, Bardon Hill, Coalville.

“East Midlands Ambulance Service were also in attendance.

“The pedestrian has been taken to hospital
