Leicester’s mayor has told LeicestershireLive it will be “hugely unfair” if the city faces the same level of restriction as areas with rates way higher than here, when new restrictions are announced later today.
Sir Peter Soulsby said he continues to be frustrated that Leicester is left out of the discussions taking place at a higher level.
“These meetings are taking place with leaders in the North but there is quite a number of other areas, including Leicester that should be involved. We are still being left out of those discussions.
