Losses widened at the company which operates the M6toll after a fall in traffic numbers.
Midland Expressway, which is based in Staffordshire, operates the 27-mile M6toll under a 53-year deal with the government which is due to expire in 2054.
For the 12 months to 31 December 2019, the company's pre-tax losses went from £8.1m to £10.3m.
Its turnover also went from £90.9m to £89.4m.
Traffic on the M6toll fell in 2019 by 7.7 per cent to 16.8 million vehicles due to a reduction in long distance car journeys.
Total revenue decreased due to lower toll revenues derived from reduced traffic volume and falls in motorway service area usage.
