An 'environmental crime scene' has been set up in a Nottinghamshire alley after it continued to be blighted by anti-social behaviour and fly-tipping.
Ashfield District Council set up the "enviro" cordon on Friday (October 9) at the site known locally as 'Mucky Lane', off Outram Street in Sutton-in-Ashfield, after the area continued to be used as a dumping hotspot.
The area has been blighted by fly-tipping for months, with councillors saying waste included bulky items like mattresses and cabinets as well as piles of household waste bags.
The area has been a concern for residents in recent months due to the scale of fly-tipping, but the most recent "large scale dumping" has led to action
