Exercise classes and organised sport can still happen across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire as long as it takes place outdoors.

The county has been placed into high alert, which means residents cannot mix with different households indoors in order to curb the coronavirus infection rate.

It means mixing between households is banned indoors and in pubs, bars, restaurants, social clubs, casinos and other leisure facilities.

Most cases across the city, where the largest increase has happened, has been in young people between the ages of 20 and 29.

Nottingham's Covid case rate per 100,000 people currently stands at 830 cases, the highest of any area in England.
